Quality Management
Implementing a quality management system affects every aspect of an organization's performance. Thus, on 29 April, 2005, the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority was awarded the Quality Management System Certificate ISO 9001 : 2000.
On 1 August, 2010, the re-certification audit was carried out by the Liepaja SEZ Authority by reaching the Quality Management System ISO 9001 : 2008 standards. The Liepaja SEZ Quality Management System includes:

provision of services to the Liepaja SEZ companies and tenants;
2.
provision of the port services.
The Liepaja SEZ Quality Management System allows for assessment, analyses and continuous improvement of its operations and functions.
The Quality Management System Certificate attests commitment of the Liepaja SEZ Authority to contribute for constant improvement of the quality level of its operations by focusing on the needs and wishes of its customers, as well as, by promoting the quality management level so that to provide higher efficiency and competitiveness.
The sphere and quality policies of the Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority have not been altered.
ISO, the International Organization for Standardization, is an independent, non-governmental organization, the members of which are the standards organizations of the 163 member countries. It is the world's largest developer of voluntary international standards and facilitates world trade by providing common standards between nations.
Assessment and auditing of the compliance of the elaborated Quality Management System to the ISO 9001 : 2008 standards, is carried out by the limited liability company “SGS Latvia Ltd.”, which is one of the leading accredited certification institutions in Latvia.
